USHERS/GREETERS

This ministry enlists, trains, and schedules ushers/greeters for all worship services, and other special services as needed. Their goal is to grow our ministry and to be committed servants to the Lord and to participate in outreach efforts by modeling the mission, visions and focus of FBTC.

What Is An Usher?

Greeters and ushers are like the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible tells us: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” - Galatians 5:22-23

Greeters and ushers serve visitors, guests, and church family alike; helping each person to find a place that meets their needs, offering a program, a friendly handshake, and a warm welcome. Our purpose is to serve those in attendance and to exemplify the fruit of the Spirit to everyone that enters our doors.

No matter who you are, chances are an usher or a greeter will be the first person you see when you arrive. We want you to know that your presence in worship is our reason for serving and we are glad that you are here. Greeters and ushers are a visible presence, representing the church as an intermediary between the needs of a specific person and the resources available through the church.

FBT Church Usher Board

Christ calls every member of the church into ministry. As an usher, you are a minister of hospitality and caring in the church. Every Christian believer is called to ministry, gifted by the Holy Spirit, and in baptism ordained for ministry. - Ephesians 4:11-12

This ministry meets every 1st Saturday at FBTC at 1:00 pm.
